Were you a fan of mixed martial arts before you worked with the WEC?
When I was in high school my boyfriend's mother was a big UFC, Chuck Liddell and Randy Couture fan, so I've always been around it. As soon as I was introduced to the WEC [World Extreme Cagefighting] I fell in love with MMA.

What is the best fight you have witnessed live as a ring girl?
The best fight, if I had to choose one, was in the WEC days: Urijah Faber versus Jens Pulver. It was so long ago but it was a phenomenal fight. It was fast-paced brawling and it was technical. The best UFC event I've ever been to was the second Chael Sonnen and Anderson Silva fight in Las Vegas. There was so much build up to that final fight and there was so much animosity between them. There was so much energy in the room; everyone felt it. There are more events and bigger venues with the UFC, so I'm at the Mecca now.

Do you do any MMA-based training?
I do some Muay Thai and a little padwork which is really good for me because it is more cardio-based. I'll do a quick 20 minute cardio session, whether it's running or on the spin bike, then do five or six rounds of Muay Thai. I was training with Shawn Tompkins a lot when I was in Vegas and I trained at Greg Jackson's gym in Albuquerque, but I don't have a coach at the moment.

How do you celebrate after an event?
I'll have a cocktail and a cheat meal like scotch and diet coke and desert like ice cream, cheesecake or tiramisu. I don't have to celebrate after an event because the event is a celebration in itself. I don't party as much as I used to; I've got a thing about being hungover when I'm on a flight.
